BMS Racing JS-2:

This is the primary racing machine for the BMS Racing team. Developed for the purpose of competing internationally for the 2023 season in a team environment, there are a host of changes from the original JS-1 to suit the new requirements.

The prototype analog version of this frame won the 2023 New Zealand Open along with the 2023 Australian International Airshow Drone Racing Open .


These changes include:
-Fits larger ESCs such as Foxeer Reaper 60A slim with rearward XT60 & factory Capacitor.
-Improved aerodynamic balance
-Improved weight distribution
-Arm bolts are independent from the stack bolts (easier arm replacement)
-Optional locked in Camera tilt (tilt range is 25-75 degrees)
-True X Layout, improved efficiency below 45 degrees angle during forward flight.

-Airframe weight in standard config including TPU (No electronics or motor bolts) is ~76g (Analog) or ~80g (HDZero)

Note: This is only the carbon & hardware for the frame. For proper assembly, additional TPU parts are required to complete the build. We have printing on demand available, but additionally all the parts are available on Thingiverse as a free STL download.

TPU sold through BMS Racing is made for the TBS Triumph Pro U.FL, Foxeer Predator Nano & in the case of the HDZero Version, the whoop lite board & 90FPS Camera with upgraded runcam lens. If you are using a different antenna, camera or lens, please contact us first to verify compatibility before you make a purchase. We will be producing more mounts & variants as required.

Kit Includes:
Everything needed to build the frame, less the TPU Parts and Electronics.
So Battery Pad, Battery Strap is included in the kit.

JS-2 HDZero Build Guide

Note: the Bolt sizes used on the frame and in particular the 6 bolts that lock in the roll cage in conjunction with the standoffs. At either end you use 6mm bolts and in the mid section you use 8mm bolts which allows for the TPU VTX antenna mount. 

When installing the TPU VTX antenna mount, the 8mm only need to be just nipped up. Do not over tighten them as they TPU will make sure they don't come loose.

HD-Zero Whoop Lite Mounting

 

 

Note: The there are 2 main types of HDZero VTX Mounts. The above is for the HDZero Whoop Lite Board. You will need to remove both the upper and lower protective metal case (they simply pull off). You will also need to insert the provided rubber grommets.

Note: ESC is secured using 4 Nylon M3 Nuts.

The above image shows both the upper and lower TPU mounts without the Whoop Lite VTX. Basically sandwiched between both.

Foxeer HDZero VTX mounting

Similar to the Whoop Lite board, you will also need to insert the provided rubber grommets. The VTX is  sandwiched between both upper and lower TPU mounts.
